New Patient Consultations

Every patient registering with the practice will have the opportunity of a new patient consultation. The appointment gives you a chance to meet us, have your health checked and bring to light any ongoing medical problems or important past medical history, including continuing your medication.

Your appointment may be with the Practice Nurse who will ask you about the following:

• Your past medical history (important illnesses and operations)
• Ongoing medical problems
• Medication
• Family history
• You will have your blood pressure taken and your urine will be tested. Occasionally other examinations or tests may be done if needed.

Health Visitor

The Health Visiting team are based at Ringwood Health Centre. They provide expert advice for all patients, with responsibility for the under fives and their families. Child Health Clinics are held at Twin Oaks Medical Centre on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month. The Health Visitors offer general advice and support in all aspects of the care of children. Midwifery Services

If you are pregnant and wish to deliver at Royal Bournemouth, Poole, Southampton or Salisbury Hospitals please use the hospital self-referral form as you no longer need a GP referral

Red Cross Equipment Loan

This service provides for anyone needing the temporary use of a wheel chair, crutches and other medical items, usually as recommended by the doctors at the surgeries. However, independent requests are also fulfilled. Please contact the surgery on 01425 671741 for current contact numbers.
